Context
The Pilgrim’s Healer's response to the ongoing occurrences of natural disasters in Australia through the depiction of the native ecosystem. My intentions were to create a body of work that captures the ‘healers’ of various disturbances, including floods, bushfires, droughts, and illnesses, and how certain plants become harmonious healers of the environment.

This body of work responds to the concept of Holding Time by representing Nature's power of perseverance to continue life through millions of years of evolution to be self-sufficient, all through the lens of the Australian ecosystem. The Pilgrim's Healers signifies that nothing can ever truly be lost, as long as life perseveres, as all are predecessors of a time from eons before, and the Earth and all living things are vessels that carry ancient history.
